2020 Spray Can Can Invitational

Spray Can Can Invitational(TM) is the first installment of a month long show & sale produced by David Smernoff and held at New York City’s oldest graffiti supply Scrap Yard. It features spent spray paint cans enhanced by America’s best street / pop artists. The affordable art show is free and open to the public throughout the month of April-June (online) and welcomes collectors and fans with purchase prices from $50 – $1,000 per can. Limited edition stickers, artwork, prints, t-shirts and more will be available (from $5 with average $25.)

Invited participating artists represent a wide cross section of the diverse styles and currents within the street / pop art community. Artists were selected geographically from around the United States with a majority New York and East coast-based.

David Smernoff, a third generation art dealer with his Smernoff Contemporary division will present a select roster of pop / street artist’s work in acrylic and oil.

Show host, Scrap Yard, was founded in 1992 and specialize in art supplies including: Montana Black Line spray paint, Ironlak, Montana 94, Speed Paint, 600 and 750ML sized spray cans, Krink, Molotow, inks, caps, empty mops, and much more.
